In 2016, I was awarded a grant via the MacArthur Foundation and POV to spend 10-weeks working at the New York Times. I went on the road interviewing social scientists about implicit bias, and ended mashing that up with low-budget visuals found at Staples and, um, in my childhood bedroom (shoutout to Mom for the food props).

In 2017, I received an Emmy Nomination for my work on the series (National Level, Category: Outstanding New Approaches).

While at the Times, I worked, along with two other creative media makers, on projects related to race in America.

Projects included the above 6-part web series on implicit bias (click her to view the full series on the Times website), this Instagram experiment in awkward race questions, and a look at how terms used in election results may have related to stereotypes.
